WHO: º¬Ðß²Ý Apply to College Week

WHAT: The first º¬Ðß²Ý Apply to College Week will be held November 11-13, 2008. The goal of this event, sponsored by the º¬Ðß²Ý Department of Education, the º¬Ðß²Ý Foundation of Independent Colleges, the º¬Ðß²Ý Student Finance Commission, the Technical College System of º¬Ðß²Ý and the University System of º¬Ðß²Ý, and endorsed by the º¬Ðß²Ý Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (GACRAO), is to provide all º¬Ðß²Ý high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college using GAcollege411.org, with a focus on providing assistance to first generation students as they navigate the college application process.

WHEN: November 11-13, 2008

WHERE: Mountain Education Center High School - Blairsville –November 11; 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Ware County High School - Waycross – November 12; 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Loganville Christian Academy - Loganville – November 12; 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Terrell Middle High School - Dawson – November 12; 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Gainesville High School - Gainesville – November 12; 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Cedar Grove High School - Ellenwood – November 13; 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Hardaway High School - Columbus – November 13; 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Thomson High School - Thomson – November 13; 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM

WHY: During the Apply to College event at their high school, seniors will be given the opportunity to apply to college using GAcollege411.org. Volunteers from º¬Ðß²Ý colleges and universities will be on hand to assist students as they complete their applications.
